Glad I didn’t write this one..!

Since the Dawn of Time

Since the dawn of time,
Scientists have had the notion
Of unlocking the secrets of
Perpetual motion.

Some device that, once started,
Would carry on for eternity.
Defying the Laws of Physics,
Friction and Gravity.

They tried with the wind,
But when that didn’t blow,
Their experimental machines
Refused to go.

They tried with water,
But, once again,
Everything stopped
If it didn’t rain.

Pendulums and magnets and springs,
Have all got the same fault.
After a period of time,
They all grind to a halt.

Most things start off well,
But the momentum gradually dies.
But the answer is there,
Right in front of our eyes.

The only things that never stop,
Wear out, need oiling or trimmin’
Are abundant in this universe—
The jawbones of flippin’ wimmin..
